From local success to becoming an instantly recognized name in country music, Tim Hicks has cemented his reputation as one of Canada’s most dynamic live performers since making his country label debut in 2013, and being named the top selling digital Canadian country artist that same year. Hicks’ catalogue of chart topping releases including: “Throw Down”, “5:01” and “5:01+”, have earned the Niagara native and 2014 CCMA Rising Star Award winner four GOLD certified singles in addition to multiple sold-out headlining dates and tours across the country. Hicks’ previous album 5:01+ garnered the award-winning performer three Top 10 singles (bringing his total to seven), and five CCMA Award nominations and in 2015 he was awarded a SOCAN Award for the high-energy hit “Got a Feeling” off his debut release Throw Down.
Named “one to watch” by the Toronto Star, Hicks has spent the last few months writing in Nashville, working on new tracks for his anticipated third full-length album due for release this fall. The album’s first single, “Stompin’ Ground” was released on June 10th and was the #1 most added song at Canadian country radio and the top selling digital Canadian country single during its first week of release.
